An Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) facility was constructed in 1974. The
facility was expanded in 1997. It houses two medium sized ARFF
vehicles and one Quick Response vehicle. It is staffed by 5 full-time
safety officers, who provide fire protection, emergency medical services
and law enforcement
for the airport and surrounding
area in cooperation with neighboring
mutual-aid agencies. Airfield snow removal is operated by the ARFF
staff with equipment added over the years providing the airport with
the ability to maintain a safe landing area.
